The Alabama Race Series — which has become one of the state’s premier organizers for charity-based, short-distance running events across Alabama — announced the addition of its first-ever Huntsville event.

The event, dubbed the Cookie Fix Cookie Crusher HSV5K, will take place this summer.

First Alabama Race Series event in Huntsville

The Alabama Race Series consists of shorter distance running events all across Alabama, giving you more opportunities to run, challenge yourself, and make a difference in the lives of Alabama’s children.

The organization’s races raise money for Magic Moments, the only wish-granting organization dedicated to children in Alabama facing chronic life-threatening or acute life-altering conditions.

Here are the details on the Cookie Fix Cookie Crusher HSV5K event:

  • The event takes place Saturday, June 21 at Back Forty Huntsville and John Hunt Park.
  • It includes a 5K race and a Kids 200-Yard Dash, open to kids of all ages.
  • Times: 5k at 9AM, Kids 200 yard dash at 10AM
  • All participants will receive a shirt and a special treat at the finish line.
  • An after party will be held at Back Forty.
  • To learn more and register you can visit alabamaraceseries.com.

These events consistently sell out and fill up quickly.

“Our hope is as we move through the state we are met with the same willingness and drive to help children in all 67 counties of Alabama.”

Anna Martin, Alabama Race Series co-founder
