Coming to Athens in 2023

Athens, Alabama, will be the lucky spot that gets Alabama’s first Oscar’s Taco Shop. It’ll be located near the Smoothie King on Lee Highway in Athens.

Location: 1260 US Hwy 72 E, Athens, AL 35611
Opening Date: Late 2023

This location will be just a half hour away from Huntsville—accessible for all our Oscar’s Taco Shop fans in the area.

Oscar’s Taco Shop is a family-owned, quick-service restaurant serving up So-Cal favorites. They have several locations in middle Tennessee and Arizona, but they’re breaking into Alabama this year.

On their menu, you’ll find all kinds of tacos—hard, soft, rolled and vegetarian. But, they also have classics like burritos, nachos, tortas, tostadas, quesadillas and plenty of chips and dip. Don’t miss the more adventurous menu items, though—like carne asada fries.
