Albertville shopping center among new high-dollar building permits this week

Of the 21 new building permits issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million, four permits were issued for for Sand Mountain Marketplace, a new shopping center in Albertville.

Here’s what to know:

Sand Mountain Marketplace in Albertville

Four building permits totaling more than $15 million were issued for Sand Mountain Marketplace, a new shopping center in Albertville.

The 250,000-square-foot property will be home to a new Target store as well as Academy Sports + Outdoors, HomeGoods and Burlington. Other stores will be announced later.

The center is expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.

Willow Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm, acquired the 30-plus-acre site in April. The Stewart Perry Corp. is listed as the lead contractor.
