It’s almost time to sign your kids up for Spring Break camps

Believe it or not, it’s not too early to start making Spring Break plans. And for those families who are sticking around Huntsville during Spring Break, there are several options offered here in the Rocket City to keep your kiddos busy and entertained throughout the week.

With full-day and half-day camp options available, you’re sure to find something your kid will love:

Spring Break camps from Huntsville Parks + Recreation

Huntsville Parks & Recreation has some cool Spring Break camps for the kids, which offer a mix of games, learning activities and athletics. The camps are held at Huntsville Parks & Recreation facilities and are led by highly trained staff members. Transportation is not provided.

Registration begins Feb. 5.

Here are more details about the Spring Break camps:

  • Parents have the option of full-day or half-day camps (STEM Camp and Art Camp are half-day camps)
  • The camps run March 11-15
  • Open exclusively to Huntsville students in grades 1-6
  • The cost for a full-day camp is $50 per week, with a discounted rate of $25 per week for each additional child in the same family
  • Half-day specialty camps cost $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional child

Half-day camp locations are:

  • Optimist Recreation Center (Art Camp): 703 Oakwood Ave.

Huntsville Botanical Garden has a really cool camp opportunity during Spring Break. The Budding Gardeners Spring Break STEM Camp involves hands-on, engaging STEM activities. Campers participate in a variety of outdoor projects and play activities that inspire curiosity, creativity and exploration.

Fantasy Playhouse ‘Wonderful World of Disney’ Camp

Students will explore the Wonderful World of Disney through the fundamentals of acting, singing, movement and storytelling. The Spring Break Camp will combine elements of music, theater and movement using the music and stories from their favorite Disney titles.

Kids ages 3-4 can do a half-day camp from 9:30AM to 11:30AM, and kids ages 5-18 will have a full day from 9AM to 3PM.

YMCA Spring Break camp

YMCA holidays camps are a fun and healthy way for your kids to spend school breaks. And they Y offers a Spring Break camp that runs March 11-15.

The camp runs each weekday from 7AM-6PM and includes fun activities supervised by YMCA staff. To sign up, click here.
