Huntsville’s list of multi-family complexes has grown at an astonishing pace over the last five years. And the Rocket City’s latest complex has just opened in MidCity.

The Anthem House, which has been under construction since 2023, brings a new twist to apartment living, however.

The $110 million urban mixed-use development was built with working tenants in mind, according to Huntsville-based developer RCP Properties.

The design was initially touted as “providing Huntsville’s expanding and skilled workforce with a residential-meets-hospitality solution with furnished units, shorter lease contracts and vibrant, hotel-like surroundings and amenities.”

In essence, the complex doubles as an apartment building and an extended-stay hotel, so to speak.

Anthem House features:

  • 330 apartment units (furnished and unfurnished)
  • 35,360 square feet of creative office space
  • 31,930 square feet of curated street-level retail
  • 183,000-square-foot parking garage

“Currently, Huntsville has a housing deficit that is accentuated by the continued job growth in the market. The shift in consumer preferences, particularly among millennials, is driving demand for more hospitality features within real estate projects, including more amenities, hosting events and activities which bring residents together.

Anthem House’s unique multifamily hospitality product, embedded in the MidCity District, is well-positioned to fill this gap.”
