Ballet, beer, baseball among weekend events in the Rocket City

In addition to Valentine’s Day weekend events, the Huntsville area plays host to a bevy of cool and exciting events this weekend — with a little something for everyone.

Check out these cool weekend events here in the Rocket City:

1. UAH Baseball

The UAH baseball team has just started the 2025 season, and the Chargers will be at home this weekend hosting three games against Christian Brothers.

2. ‘Dancers Choice’ by Huntsville Ballet

This series of in-studio performances gives Huntsville Ballet Company’s professional dancers the opportunity to perform in genres of their choice.

The intimate setting of the studio has proven to create an immersive, interactive experience. Each performance will conclude with the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the dancers.

3. Valentine’s Cocktail Class

Celebrate Valentine’s Day and learn to build the perfect classic cocktail at this Valentine’s Cocktail Class at Vintage Cigar Lounge at Bridge Street.

4. Paint Your Partner

The Paint Your Partner date night event happens every Friday at Huntsville Art Supplies at Lowe Mill. Why not take your significant other with you on Valentine’s Day and see what kind of rendering you can do?

5. ‘Music of the Spheres’

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center presents “Music of the Spheres” with internationally recognized violinist Itamar Zorman. In this solo violin performance, Zorman will perform the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Eugene Ysaye, Philip Glass and Missy Mazzoli — accompanied by stunning visuals on the planetarium dome.

6. Sharla Belle + the Nossa Samba Jazz Combo

Come out to St. Stephens Music Hall for night of fabulous jazz music, celebrating love in all of its beautiful forms.

7. Groove at Furniture Factory

Get your “Groove” on at Furniture Factory at Providence Friday night! Enjoy the super-talented band Groove play live all night long!

8. Spring Prom Event at Belk 

Come out to Belk at Parkway Place Mall to get everything you need for prom. Get fitted for dresses and suits, make reservations for makeup on the day of your prom and get assistance with all of your prom accessories.

9. Von Brewski Beer Festival

Who doesn’t love a good beer festival? The Von Brewski Beer Festival — now in its 9th year — features hundreds of beers from more than 80 breweries ready for you to sample.

10. Back 40 Valentine’s Bash

Head to Back Forty Brewing and celebrate Valentine’s with live music by New Atomic, a special dinner menu for you and your Valentine and — as always — some delicious craft beer.

11. Emma Klein at Stovehouse

Emma Klein is playing a free show at The Booth at Stovehouse Saturday night. Come down and enjoy some good tunes in a great atmosphere.

12. My Bloody Valentine Masquerade Ball

World Conspiracy and Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment are joining forces to bring you an unforgettable night of dancing that will have your heart pounding in the best way possible.

13. The Black Box Comedy Show

The Black Box Comedy Show features an ensemble cast performing games based on your suggestions, all for just $5! Bring your friends and creativity for an interactive, fast-paced show full of laughs and surprises.

14. Guided Hike at Green Mountain

This hike, along Green Mountain’s Alum Hollow Trail, will take hikers to Alum Falls and Alum Cave, two scenic spots on the preserve. The trail is relatively easy, with the exception of a steep hill leading down to the waterfall and cave at the half-way point.

15. Huntsville Havoc vs. Roanoke Rail Yard Dogs

Sunday hockey is always a treat! Come down to Propst Arena to cheer on the Havoc as they host Roanoke for a Sunday evening game. And this is Team Poster Night, so get there early to grab your free poster!
