Battle of the Bands now just weeks away for Marching Maroon & White

In just a couple of weeks, Alabama A&M’s Marching Maroon & White band will be in Houston for the 2025 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands. The event takes place Saturday, August 23, at NRG Stadium.
Here’s what to know:
Marching Maroon & White will head to Houston August 23
The Marching Maroon & White will join seven other elite HBCU marching bands for one of the nation’s largest showcases of Black college culture, musicianship and tradition.
This marks the third appearance by the Marching Maroon & White at the event, which honors the musical excellence and cultural impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Alabama A&M joins these HBCU marching bands in the event:
- Albany State University
- Florida A&M University
- Jackson State University
- Langston University
- North Carolina A&T University
- Prairie View A&M University
- Texas Southern University
