The Hville Blast team is always on a mission to find great food here in the Rocket City. And we also love to tell you about it. So as we do each month, we want to let you in on some of the delicious stuff we ate this past month.

Michael’s pick: Reese’s Pie @ City Cafe Diner

If we are talking about “best bites” in Huntsville, just about any dessert at City Cafe Diner makes the list. (Michael Seale / Hville Blast)

I eat at City Cafe Diner fairly often, and try a different dessert when I can. The Reese’s pie is outstanding. It has a creamy chocolate mousse filling with bits of Reese’s candy topped with a layer of chocolate cake.

Brenna’s pick: Caesar salad w/salmon @ Domaine South

Domaine South is a downtown favorite for the whole staff here at Hville Blast. We recently had lunch there and Brenna loved the Caesar salad with salmon.

“I kept browsing the menu and couldn’t decide what to get, and made a quick decision to get the Caesar salad with salmon. I am so glad I did!”

Ryleigh paid a recent visit to Zanotta’s Ristorante, a new spot and ordered the whipped ricotta on sourdough with candied pecans. She said this was not only delicious, but also perfect with a cappuccino.

Elizabeth’s pick: caviar, smoked salmon pizza + more @ The Providence Bar

A few of our team members went to the recently-opened The Providence Bar in the Village of Providence, and came away raving about the food and the cocktails.

I had my first taste of caviar and my first cocktail with a jalapeno at The Providence Bar’s opening. Our waitress delivered on the menu recs with a spread of refreshing and flavorful shareables and drinks. My favorite was the smoked salmon pizza, which had a delicious homemade crust. I was pleasantly surprised by my ‘Swipe Right’ mocktail that had just the right sweetness with a hint of spice and a crisp freshness from the garnishes.”
