It’s the best time of the month—best bites time!
Check out the recs below for our team’s favorite meals across Huntsville in November.
Best bites in November 2025
Alivia’s pick: Beef Pho at Viet Huong

We all love pho around here. As the temps are dropping, nothing sounds better than a warm bowl of goodness.
Just ask Social Media Coordinator Alivia, whose favorite meal this month actually comes from her favorite restaurant in Huntsville:
“The beef pho at Viet Huong is my go-to comfort meal. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are always perfect, and it’s one of those dishes that just hits every single time.”
Alivia Nguyen, Social Media Coordinator
Amelia’s pick: The Gobblecado at The Local

A good sandwich is hard to find, but when you find a good one… it is simply unforgettable.
Just take a look at the sandwich above. Smoked turkey, avocado, Conecuh (which is absolutely worth all the hype), tomato and greens—can you think of anything more divine?
Content Producer Amelia agrees, and wholeheartedly gives this sandwich (and The Local) a thumbs-up:
“As a self-proclaimed sandwich savant, I’ve been awaiting the arrival of a good, locally-owned sandwich shop for years. I literally dragged my husband to The Local on their first day open to scope it out. And it may have been a mistake… because of how good it is. It’s been a week and I’ve already been tempted to go back multiple times. Make sure to try the soup of the day, too!”
Amelia Pilgrim, Content Producer
Ben’s pick: Shrimp + Grits at Commerce Kitchen

Commerce Kitchen has long been regarded as an amazing place to grab a quick, locally sourced meal in Downtown Huntsville.
Read what our videographer Ben had to say about it:
“The manager at Commerce Kitchen recommended me their shrimp & grits while I was there, and sure enough, it was absolutely decadent. 10/10 grits, I could have just had that for breakfast, and I would have been more than happy.”
Ben Johnson, Videographer
Elizabeth’s pick: Whipped Feta + Charcuterie at Domaine South

Domaine South is a Downtown Huntsville staple.
Decadent, Southern-inspired dishes paired with an intimate + cozy atmosphere make this one of Senior Content Producer Elizabeth’s favorites:
“Unfortunately, my phone did not eat first. I’ve developed a reoccurring craving for Domaine South’s whipped feta with fresh herbs + honey served with pita. This night, I paired it with a hot tea and a fresh charcuterie board. It absolutely hit the spot and is the perfect shareable light bite for a cozy evening. Plus, Domaine South’s eclectic decor, indie music playlists and kind staff make it one of my favorite Huntsville culinary gems.”
Elizabeth Hobbs, Senior Content Producer
Lisa’s pick: Veg Bao + Sweetheart Roll at Noriya Japanese Cuisine
New sushi spot Noriya in Decatur has already made its mark on the community for its delicious dishes + lively atmosphere.
Senior Content Producer Lisa went recently, and loved her experience:
“People in Decatur have been buzzing about the new Noriya Japanese Cuisine, equally delighted by the delicious food and fun decor. For your appetite, there’s sushi, ramen, endless apps, boba, sake and more. For your eyes, the space is filled with adorable anime puppies, cherry blossoms, traditional lanterns and pops of neon.
When stopping in recently while featuring three new River City restaurants, I loved the veg bao + sweetheart roll (spicy tuna, crunch + avocado inside, fresh tuna + spicy mayo on top).”
Michael’s pick: Southern Egg Rolls at Superhero Chefs

There’s nothing our team loves more than a Southern-Asian fusion moment—and that’s exactly what our Managing Content Producer chose this month.
Read about his experience and go-tos at this awesome spot near MidCity:
“The Southern Egg Roll at Super Hero Chefs includes mac and cheese, greens and chicken (southern staples, of course) and a fabulous sweet potato sauce. This is my go-to at this place.”

Rosalee’s pick: Cacio E Pepe Rigatoni at One Eleven

One Eleven is one of our team’s favorite spots in Downtown Huntsville.
The spot, which opened earlier this year, has quickly become a staple on Washington Street for their creative cocktails, dishes + decor. Check out what Content Producer Intern Rosalee thought:
“This pasta was amazing and so filling. The chicken and noodles were tossed in a delicious creamy sauce, and just like the menu says—spiced to perfection!”
Rosalee Mahdi, Content Producer Intern
