BEST BITES: what we ate (and loved) in Huntsville this month
Reading time: 3 minutes

Here at Hville Blast, we love trying new restaurants around town (and returning to old favorites), but what we love just as much as eating at these spots is sharing them with our readers. This past month, we enjoyed some fantastic meals at local spots around the Rocket City.
Such as:
Michael’s pick: Wild mushroom arancini @ One Eleven

This was first time at the new restaurant downtown, One Eleven. And my lunch was spectacular. Namely, my appetizer:
“Served with marinara sauce this appetizer includes mushrooms, okra, mozzarella cheese, truffle oil and microgreens. I could have eaten more, of them but I had to leave room for my burger (which was also delicious, and pictured above).”

Elizabeth’s pick: Bacon + egg bagel w/fig honey cream cheese @ Canadian Bakin’

Here’s what Elizabeth had to say about this bagel:
“I tried this original combo on a whim of curiosity and it was the perfect blend of savory and sweet to start my day. Best paired with a London Fog.”

Lacey’s pick: Lentil salad @ One Eleven

Lacey and I chose the same restaurant for this month’s feature, but different dishes. Here’s what she said about her salad:
“A healthy and light option, this was not your ordinary salad. The key here were the blended flavors of jalapenos and hazelnuts to go with the arugula, celery, chives and edamame. And for extra kick, the jalapeno balsamic provided a delicious finish.”

Michael’s 2nd pick: Marshmallow Magic @ Mega Nutrition

While not a “bite,” this is certainly something delicious I consumed in July.
This protein shake is dairy-free and low sugar, despite the fact that it tastes just like roasted marshmallows. It’s healthy and filling and just so dang good.”
