If you’re a barbecue enthusiast and live in North Alabama, it’s a near certainty that you’ve at least heard of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q.
Not only is this spot locally loved, but it’s nationally recognized as one of the most prestigious barbecue spots in the country, and they’ve got the awards to prove it.
On September 16, the famous restaurant earned one more distinction: it was chosen by lovefood.com as one of the top BBQ restaurants in Alabama as part of their “The best barbecue restaurants in every US state” list.
Rusty’s Bar-B-Q and Archibald’s BBQ were also mentioned as top spots in Alabama.

What to order at Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q
Truth be told, there’s no wrong choice when ordering at Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, but we do have our favorites here at Hville Blast.
For starters, their pork has won 11 first-place awards at the Memphis in May World Championship BBQ Cook-off, so the Bar-B-Q Pork Platter is a great choice of entree. The Original White Sauce is also a fan-favorite, so we have to recommend that too!
