This week, there were 16 construction projects approved for permits statewide in Alabama, with seven of those projects located in the Huntsville area.

One of the more notable projects is the construction of a BJ’s Wholesale Club in the area. This project exceeds $13 million and will be located in Town Madison. Here are some more details:

New BJ’s Wholesale Club

As we said, there were 16 multi-million-dollar construction projects approved for permits this week, and a huge chunk of them are right here in the Huntsville area. The new BJ’s Wholesale Club is a huge project coming to Town Madison.

BJ’s Wholesale Club—a Massachusetts-based membership warehouse club with 200+ stores in 17 states—is planning to open its first Alabama location in Town Madison. Similar to warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club and Costco, BJ’s Wholesale Club sells groceries, home goods, electronics, furniture, sporting goods, clothing, gasoline and more. Memberships to BJ’s Wholesale Club are available between $55 and $110 a year.
