BJ’s Wholesale opens in Madison to amazing fanfare
If you made it over to the new BJ’s Wholesale Club in Madison Friday, you likely saw just how much of an impact the new store has on folks here in the area — there were hundreds of cars in the parking lot and the place was absolutely buzzing.
The much-anticipated opening was met with tremendous fanfare and reception, and memberships for the new wholesale market reached into the hundreds on the store’s first day.
First BJ’s Wholesale in Alabama
The Madison location is BJ’s first store in Alabama, and the Massachusetts-based company’s 20th state in which to open a store. The store, located at 165 Graphics Drive, Madison, AL 35758 started accepting new members a few months ago and opened at 8AM Friday.
BJ’s is open Monday-Saturday from 8AM to 9PM, and Sunday from 8AM to 8PM. The new store offers groceries, electronics, wine and spirits, clothing, sundries, household items, kitchenware and more. As well, BJ’s members get discounted gasoline, which in today’s economy is quite a perk.

How to join BJ’s Wholesale Club
BJ’s, like Costco and Sam’s Club, is a members-only wholesale club, and you can join here, or in person at the store.
From November 10 through November 12, BJ’s members will be eligible to receive a digital coupon for a free fresh or frozen Butterball whole turkey when they spend $150 in the same transaction, in-club or online.
