Last year, Whitesburg Baptist Church donated its now unused building off of Pulaski Pike to the club for its new headquarters, and since then, the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama has been raising money to make the move to the new facility.

The Boys & Girls Club said it had already raised $6 million of the $7.8 million dollar fundraising goal, so the recent donation by Williams was much-needed.

“He [Frank J. Williams] came through for us, so we’re very excited to have that final gift to take us over to reach our financial goal.”

Patrick Wynn, president of Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama in an interview with WHNT.
