Busy August keeps Huntsville airport on pace for record-setting year

Huntsville International Airport’s passenger traffic in August 2026 increased by 4.2% over last August, and kept HSV on a pace to break its all-time record for passengers served in a year—a record set just last year.
In August, HSV served nearly 160,000 passengers, bringing the 2026 total to 1.2 million passengers.

How passenger traffic at Huntsville airport has fared over the last 12 months
In August, HSV reported 79,525 enplaned passengers and 80,140 deplaned passengers (for a total of 159,665 passengers served for the month). The 1.2 million total passengers for the year thus far is 7.2% higher than last year’s total at this point.
