UAH’s Charger Blue mascot gets a new look to go with expanded role

The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s beloved horse mascot, Charger Blue, has been representing the school for nearly four decades — and he just got a brand new look to go along with an expanded role.
UAH wants Charger Blue to become a more visible goodwill ambassador for the university, so they are introducing a new illustration collection that features the mascot in many new outfits, including a basketball jersey, business-professional suit and more.
Now the marketing team can dress Charger Blue for whatever the occasion calls for — from game day to the boardroom.
“This is the next step in bringing our brand to life in more ways and in more places. Charger Blue is one of the most recognizable and beloved parts of the UAH experience, and giving him a more versatile visual identity allows us to bring that personality into more of our campus and community interactions.”
Kristina Hendrix, vice president for strategic communications at UAH
