May is National Barbeque Month, so we’re highlighting some Huntsville barbeque spots worth visiting. From mouth-watering meats to signature sauces, these local favorites are sure to satisfy your BBQ cravings.

1. Blue Oak BBQ

This Louisiana-style barbeque joint has some great food that hits the spot. Their sauces range from House BBQ to Spicy Carolina to Jerk BBQ. The BBQ joint just recently celebrated its one-year anniversary in Huntsville on April 21st.

2. Chuck Wagon BBQ

Chuck Wagon has brought Texas-style BBQ to the Huntsville area since 2004. Their first location was in Athens, AL and their Madison location opened in 2008. They’re known for their beef brisket and ribs.

3. Moe’s Original BBQ

Moe’s Original BBQ has three locations across the Huntsville area: Downtown, Village of Providence and Madison. Known for its legendary white sauce, it’s a local favorite for a reason.

Bonus: The owners are true Alabama natives.

4. RD’s Smokehouse BBQ

Following the success of their Harvest location, RD’s Smokehouse expanded with a second spot this year. Their specialties include smoked chicken and turkey, pulled pork and sausage.
