For those who want to get in on the festivities early, check out these events happening very soon:

Athens-Limestone Hospital Christmas Market

The Athens-Limestone Hospital will be hosting its very own Christmas market this year. In the ALH Education Conference Room, you’ll be able to view the excellent work of some beloved local vendors and potentially get some gift shopping done in the process.

Christmas Open House in Downtown Athens

The Christmas Open House in Downtown Athens will have several family-friendly events to make the holiday season a little extra fun. (Athens Main Street / Facebook)

At the Christmas Open House, you and your loved ones can take part in the following activities:

  • Watch the lighting of the Merchants Alley tree
  • Take photos with Santa at the Athens-Limestone Tourism Office
  • Skate on the square ($5 per person – cash only)
  • Shop at local vendors at the Merry Market on Marion
  • Try one of the local food trucks on site

As you can see, this Open House has tons to offer for a weekend full of holiday fun in Athens.

Christmas with the Donnells

The historic Donnell House will be holding its Candlelight Preview Party to ring in this year’s Festival of Trees. For $30, guests can explore how local businesses, groups and individuals have decorated the house for the holidays.

Guests will also be able to enjoyed catered food, ensuring an evening full of cheer for all visitors.

Holiday Market at MidCity

The Holiday Market at MidCity is the last MidCity Market for the year and one of this weekend’s premier events. There will be 150 local vendors, live music and food options galore for every visitor to enjoy.

Jingle & Mingle with the Athens Art League

At the Athens Art League’s Jingle & Mingle event, you can enjoy live music by Hatfield Lake and refreshments as you browse artwork from local creators.
