City of Huntsville to purchase 30 acres in Limestone County

The City of Huntsville has agreed to purchase approximately 30 acres near County Line Road and Old Highway 20 in Limestone County for $1.5 million.
This is acreage already annexed by the city and would not require a new annexation agreement by the Huntsville City Council.
The land will be used for “the construction, establishment, use, operation and maintenance of various governmental functions for the City and other government agencies,” according to city officials.
