Daycare expansion in Jones Valley among new high-dollar building permits

Of the six new building permits issued statewide this past week for million-dollar-plus construction projects, two of them are for Huntsville projects, with one being the expansion of Ardent Preschool & Daycare in Jones Valley.

Ardent Preschool + Daycare expansion

Ardent Preschool & Daycare of Jones Valley is expanding by 6,000 square feet. The $3.6 million expansion project is set to be finished by the end of the year.

Here’s what’s included:

Six new classrooms
Room for 90 additional students
An indoor playroom
New outdoor play areas
An expanded break room area for teachers.

Fite Construction is the contractor for this project.
