This program’s goal, primarily, involves funding for local Alabama-based organizations, which they use to enhance their communities’ freshwater recreation access.

Ditto Landing was one of seven organizations selected this year—and they were chosen based on their mission to improve access to our local waterways.

“The funding will further help us with the procurement and installation of a kayak launch at East Harbor, and we’re excited to get to work on improving access and experiences on our local waterways.”

Brandi Quick, Executive Director at Ditto Landing

According to Alabama’s Scenic River Trail’s wesbite, these projects have a May-November timeline, so the kayak launch should be ready within the next few months.
