Hiking comes with many health benefits, such as increasing cardiovascular health and reducing stress, but can also simply serve as a way to reconnect with nature after a long day of sitting in an office🌲
If you’ve never been hiking before and it seems like a daunting task to get into—no worries! Huntsville has a plethora of local trails that are very beginner-friendly. Keep reading to find out some of our favorites👇

1) Wildflower Trail

Enjoy a relaxing stroll on Wildflower Trail as it follows Fagan Creek near the bottom of the Monte Sano Nature Preserve. The path earned its namesake from the beautiful wildflowers that can be found along its length, which will begin blooming soon🌷
