We’ve had the chance to interview many women who work at or very closely with Huntsville Hospital. Here’s what they’ve said about their experiences:

“We are huge on teamwork here. You never have to handle a situation alone. For example, if you’re doing an IV with pediatrics, you’ll always have at least three other people with you. If you’re a newer nurse, you can rest assured that someone always has your back, and you can feel comfortable asking questions or requesting help.”

Maddi Akers, Charge Nurse, Huntsville Hospital

“I love it here. I love my co-workers. Everyone’s friendly, and we all get along super well. When I walk down the hall and pass people, they’re always smiling and saying, ‘Hey, how are you?’ This place is home for me.”

Katie Edwards, Imaging Tech, Huntsville Hospital

“The Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Ribbon Run is the demarcation for many women of their BC and AC—before cancer and after cancer. It is so freeing to see their faces as they cross the finish line. Many of them just break down crying as they realize: I’m done. This is it. Goodbye, breast cancer.”
