Eric Terrell moves from assistant superintendent to interim

Eric Terrell is certainly not a newcomer to the school district, having worked in the system for more than 20 years. He is also no stranger to the role of interim superintendent, having assumed that role for four months in 2020.
Terrell’s experience in the school system includes:
- Special education teacher at Liberty Middle School
- Assistant principal at Bob Jones High School
- Assistant principal at James Clemens High School
- Principal at Discovery Middle School
- Named assistant superintendent in 2017
The Madison City School Board is still in the interview process for Nichols’ replacement. Terrell will serve in his interim role until a permanent hire is announced.
