South Huntsville Sidewalk Chalk Festival Returns April 4, 2026

Huntsville, AL — The South Huntsville Main Business Association invites the

community to attend the 2nd Annual South Huntsville Sidewalk Chalk Festival on

Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sandra Moon Complex, 7901

Bailey Cove Rd SE. The event is free to attend and open to the entire community.

This family-friendly event brings together artists, families, businesses, and neighbors for

a day of creativity and community connection. Artists of all ages will transform the

sidewalks into colorful works of art using chalk, creating a vibrant outdoor gallery for

visitors to enjoy.

The 2026 festival theme is “Love Your Neighbor”, encouraging artists to create artwork

that celebrates kindness, community, and the spirit of caring for those around us.

Festival attendees will be able to walk through the chalk art displays, watch artists

create their work live, and vote for their favorite piece in the People’s Choice Award.

In addition to the chalk art competition, visitors can enjoy:

• Family-friendly food trucks
• Community booths and activities
• A chance to meet and support local artists
• Playground
• Additional activities in the South Huntsville Library

Artists interested in participating in the competition can register online now through

March 28, 2026.

The event is sponsored by the South Huntsville Main Business Association, Arts

Huntsville, and the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.

The South Huntsville Sidewalk Chalk Festival continues to grow each year as a

celebration of art, creativity, and the strong sense of community that makes South

Huntsville special.
