Ben Chapman at The Princess Theatre

Decatur, AL— Rising country-soul artist Ben Chapman will bring his electrifying live show to the Princess Theatre on October 11. Known for his gritty blend of country, funk, and rock—what fans often call “country-fried funky-tonk”—Chapman has spent the last several years building a reputation as one of the hardest-working artists on the road.
Over the past three years, Chapman has been on a whirlwind run of creativity and touring. Along the way, he has written songs for acclaimed artists including Hayes Carll, Brent Cobb, and Marcus King, made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, and released three critically praised albums that showcase his distinctive musical style.
His newest record, Feet on Fire, captures a moment of major transition in Chapman’s life and career. The album draws inspiration from his marriage to fellow songwriter Meg McRee and the arrival of the couple’s first child, giving the songs a deeply personal edge while maintaining the high-energy sound fans expect.
On the guitar-driven title track, Chapman blends atmospheric textures reminiscent of Pink Floyd with the raw crunch of Crazy Horse, highlighting the wide range of influences that shape his music. Elsewhere on the record, he nods to his Southern roots with the laid-back groove of “Out in the Country” and delivers classic soul emotion on the Stax-inspired ballad “Missing You.”
Produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Anderson East, Feet on Fire finds Chapman pushing his sound further than ever before. The album captures an artist with his back against the wall and his heart wide open—determined not only to face the challenges ahead, but to write about the journey along the way.
Presale to The Princess Theatre members will begin March 18. Public tickets will go on sale March 20. Day of show, doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with performance beginning at 7:00 p.m.
