Birding Platform Build: Chapman Mountain
Join us to build a new birding platform under the Chapman pines. This elevated deck will allow birders new viewing opportunities at one of North Alabama’s best birding locations.
No experience required. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bug spray, sunscreen, work gloves, eye protection, and water recommended. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors. Registration Required.
Meeting Location: Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve – 1263 U.S Hwy 72 East, Huntsville, AL 35811 (Coming from Huntsville, cross Chapman Mountain on Hwy 72 and u-turn at Moores Mill Road. When safe, get into the merge lane on the right.)
If this event is canceled due to weather or trail conditions, we will send a notification to registered participants to the email address provided at sign up.
