Celebrating America’s 250: A Signature Art Show
Our America’s 250 Celebration kicks off on Thursday, May 21 with THREE events that showcase the American spirit. The OPENING RECEPTION is on Friday, May 28 at 5:30 PM.
Our Signature Art Show is a deeply personal exhibition that explores ‘What American Means to Me’ from the individual perspectives of 28 artists and in a variety of mediums.
Our celebration of America and its legacy of volunteerism continues with the return of the American Signature Quilt. Created in 1989 as a fundraiser for Harrison Brothers, the quilt features the original autographs of 170 transformation Americans, including presidents, supreme court justices, artists, authors, and astronaut.
Our third event, ‘How to Save a Historic Store in Five Easy Steps,’ explains how Lynn Jones and Dale Rhoades developed the Signature Quilt project, collected the signatures, and stitched them up into the Ohio Star patterned-quilt that exists today
