Cheerleaders Take Center Stage at the 2026 SSAC Competitive Cheer Championship in Decatur

Get ready for high-flying stunts, flawless routines, and non-stop energy at the 2026 SSAC Competitive Cheer Championship, coming to the Kelley Gymnasium at Calhoun Community College on March 6-7, 2026. Located at 6250 US-31, Tanner, AL, this exciting collegiate cheer event will bring together some of the nation’s top teams for two days of unforgettable competition.

Cheer squads from across the country, including Brewton-Parker Christian University, Florida Memorial University, Loyola University New Orleans, Life University, Milligan University, Point University, University of Tennessee Southern, University of Mobile, William Carey University, and Xavier University of Louisiana, will compete in team-style, co-ed routines that highlight athleticism, precision, and team spirit. Last year, Florida Memorial University took home the championship title, setting the bar high for 2026.

Now in its ninth year overall and second year hosted in Decatur, the SSAC Competitive Cheer Championship continues to grow in popularity. The event is expected to attract 300–400 out-of-town guests. Spectators can enjoy on-site concessions, and championship souvenirs will be available for purchase. Please note that this event is not dog-friendly, and spectators are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are on sale now at https://ssacsports.com/tickets:

• Adults: $15 per day
• Kids (ages 11–17): $7.50 per day
• College students (with ID): $7.50 per day

Competition will begin at approximately 8:00–8:30 AM on Friday, March 6, with events continuing through Saturday. A champion will be crowned on March 7th.
