Modern-Day “It’s A Wonderful Life” Film You Are Here Coming to the Princess Theatre August 5

DECATUR, Ala. — You Are Here, a funny, quirky, and heartfelt new film from husband-and-wife filmmakers Jack and Claire Kennedy, is coming to the Princess Theatre on August 5 as part of a cross-country tour bringing the movie to small towns and cities across the country.

Described as a modern-day It’s A Wonderful Life, You Are Here is a tribute to small towns and the communities within them—the places that can both stifle and uplift, hold people back and call them home. The film explores possibility: the ones we have, the ones we squander, and the ones still waiting to be found if we are willing to go looking for them.

Blending humor, heart, and reflection, You Are Here offers audiences a thoughtful date night movie about belonging, second chances, and the surprising grace found in ordinary places.

The film’s tour is also its own journey across the country. Jack and Claire Kennedy are loading up their three children, Jack, Calleigh, and Quinn; their three dogs, Love, Ghostbuster, and Scotch; and plenty of merchandise—including challenge coins, shirts, and hats—into the RV featured in the film as they bring You Are Here to communities near and far.

Audiences are invited to join the Kennedys at the Princess Theatre for this special screening experience and celebrate a film rooted in story, community, and the roads that lead us home.
