As the seasons shift, it’s time to prepare your garden for fall and tuck it in for winter—while still enjoying the beauty of the colder months! In this hands-on, family-friendly field trip, you’ll learn how to transition your garden space from vibrant harvest to restful hibernation.
Meet one of our Master Gardeners and explore seasonal garden prep, composting basics, and simple ways your family can care for your garden year-round.

About Fall Family Field Trips
Our Fall Family Field Trips are 2-hour adventures filled with nature, discovery, and creativity.
Each program includes a guided tour through the Garden, interactive learning stations with STEM-focused activities, as well as creative challenges, nature play, and hands-on experiments.
Designed for children ages 2–13, but fun for the whole family!
