Spend your Friday evenings surrounded by live music, summer sunsets, and the beauty of the Garden. From May through September, Golden Hour transforms the Cedar Glade into a relaxed gathering place where friends meet, families unwind, and visitors can enjoy the Garden in a whole new light.
New this year: Admission is free beginning at 5:00 p.m. during Golden Hour, thanks to the support of the Huntsville Music Office and the City of Huntsville’s Office of Multicultural Affairs.*
Bring a blanket or chairs, grab a drink from the Garden Bar, and enjoy made-to-order concessions from Fern & Feast On-The-Go while local musicians provide the soundtrack for the evening. Whether you’re exploring the Garden’s paths, enjoying a picnic, or simply relaxing with friends, Golden Hour is the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
Select evenings throughout the season feature special experiences, including our Third Fridays Market and reserved seating opportunities.
*Friday closing times are 8:00 p.m. in May, June, July, and August, and 7:00 p.m. in September.
