Magician David Garrard returns to the Princess Theatre October 4 with Houdini Tribute Show

Decatur, AL—World class magician, David Garrard will bring his special brand of magic to the historic Princess Theatre Sunday, October 4 for a special 2 p.m. matinee performance.

With a career spanning nearly five decades, David Garrard has captivated audiences across the United States with family-friendly performances that combine famous stage illusions with comedy and audience participation.  Garrard’s performance on Penn & Teller: Fool Us! was called “the biggest surprise of the season for Penn.”

Recognized as a creative force in the magic community, David’s tricks have been featured on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent. He is also the author of two critically acclaimed books for magicians, Out of My Hat: The Magic of David Garrard and Magic Moments.

The second half of this special matinee show will consist of A Tribute to Harry Houdini in honor of the 100^th anniversary of Houdini’s death on October 31, 1926.  David will perform two of Houdini’s Ten Greatest Illusions, plus a special tribute to Houdini’s wife, Bess.  The show will also include a special salute to America in honor of our country’s 250^th birthday.
