Grammy-Winning Artist Molly Tuttle Comes to the Princess Theatre October 15

DECATUR, AL – The Princess Theatre is thrilled to welcome Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and virtuoso guitarist Molly Tuttle to its stage on October 15.

Following two consecutive Grammy-winning albums with her band Golden Highway—2022’s Crooked Tree and 2023’s City of Gold—as well as a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, Tuttle enters an exciting new chapter with her latest solo album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine.

Produced by Jay Joyce, whose credits include Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, and Orville Peck, the album brings Tuttle’s extraordinary guitar playing to the forefront. Its 12 songs blend bluegrass, country, pop, rock, and flat-picking into a bold sound that honors her roots while pushing beyond traditional boundaries.

Tuttle began performing professionally at age 15 and has since become one of the most celebrated guitarists of her generation. In 2017, she became the first woman to receive the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award, winning the honor again the following year. She has also been named Instrumentalist of the Year by the Americana Music Association.

Throughout her career, Tuttle has followed what she calls a “crooked path,” moving freely between musical traditions and creating work marked by exceptional musicianship, honest storytelling, and a fearless spirit. Her latest album explores self-acceptance, change, memory, and the experiences that shape who we become.

Tuttle, who has lived with alopecia areata since childhood, also serves as a spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. Through her music and performances, she encourages others to embrace the qualities that make them different.

Audiences can expect an unforgettable evening with an artist whose dazzling musicianship and compelling songwriting continue to expand the possibilities of American roots music.

Presale to The Princess Theatre members will begin Aug 12 at 10AM. Public tickets will go on sale Aug 14 at 10AM. Day of show, doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with performance beginning at 7:00 p.m.
