Paint a Flower in Oils
This 5-part class will focus on painting a flower in oils. Learn the basics of using traditional oil paints without using solvents. Bring a color AND a black and white print out of the flower you would like to paint. Be sure the flower FILLS the whole 8.5×11 page. Each week we will practice basic techniques as we work on your painting. Class includes all materials.
- Week 1: Overview of the materials and tools, base color, image transfer
- Week 2: Mixing colors, and blocking in values
- Week 3: Colors and textures
- Week 4 Glazing
- Week 5 Final details
