A tail-wagging celebration of fall for dogs and their people!

Bring your four-legged best friend to Pooches & PUPkins on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. for an evening of seasonal fun at Huntsville Botanical Garden, held in Cedar Glade and the Meadow at Lake Lonnie.

Dress your pup in their favorite costume and join the Pooch Parade, then stick around for our crowd-favorite costume contest featuring categories such as Most Creative, Best Duo, and Fan Favorite. Browse local pet vendors and sponsors, discover treats and goodies for your furry companion, and enjoy a festive fall evening surrounded by fellow dog lovers.

Whether your dog comes dressed to impress or is simply excited for a walk through the Garden, Pooches & PUPkins is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the season and make lasting memories together.

Event Timeline:
5:00 PM – The event begins! Explore local vendors, enjoy the seasonal displays, and mingle with fellow dog lovers and their pups.
6:00 PM – Pooch Parade
6:30 PM – Costume contest winners announced.
7:00 PM – Event concludes.

Admission

• Garden Members and their dogs receive free admission.
• Not Yet Members must purchase Garden admission, plus $5 per dog (or use a valid HBG Paw Pass). See admission details for pricing.

Pet/Owner Guidelines

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, all dogs must remain securely leashed, in a harness, or safely contained in a wagon or stroller at all times while attending the event.

Before bringing your pup, please consider their temperament and comfort level in busy environments. If your dog is reactive, aggressive, overly anxious, or does not do well around other dogs, children, or large crowds, we kindly ask that you leave them at home. This helps ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests—both two-legged and four-legged.
