Produced with Tyler Bryant and recorded live at Dockside Studio in Louisiana, Airline Highway captures the raw, spontaneous spirit of roots music. The album features contributions from an all-star cast—including Lukas Nelson, Ashley McBryde, Charlie Starr, and Larkin Poe—and reflects Crowell’s deep connection to the swamp-pop sounds of his youth. From rollicking tributes to soulful reflections, the album blends past and present in a joyful meditation on love, legacy, and musical kinship. With a career spanning more than four decades, Crowell has left an indelible mark on American music. He is the pen behind hits recorded by Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Rosanne Cash, Keith Urban, Waylon Jennings, and countless others. His 1988 album Diamonds & Dirt made country music history with five consecutive No. 1 singles.
