Structure Build Prep: Hickory Cove

Join us at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve as we prepare for the construction of a new bridge along Legacy Loop! Volunteers will help transport lumber, steel beams, and other materials from the trailhead to the project site, making this important improvement possible.

This is a physically demanding project that involves hiking on the trail while carrying materials, making it a great opportunity for those who enjoy a challenge and don’t mind breaking a sweat. Think of it as a trail workout with a purpose!

Bug spray, sunscreen, work gloves, eye protection, and water recommended. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors. Registration Required.

Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. The Land Trust is committed to the inclusion of all qualified volunteers including those with a disability. However, not all natural work environments are accessible. Please let our volunteer coordinator know the nature of the accommodation needed so that we may make every effort, where possible, to include all in the event.
