The Cheap Medicine Club’s Storytelling Hour–Turkey, Tinsel, and Tiny Tim: Holiday Stories to Share

Inspired by the quote, “Laugh when you can: it’s cheap medicine,” we started The Cheap Medicine Club, which hosts storytelling events a few times per year. Our next event is called “Turkey, Tinsel, and Tiny Tim—Holiday Stories to Share.” A relaxed evening of storytelling, with a focus on humor, connection, and community. Come listen or share a story. No judging or scores. Sit or stand. Notes or no notes. An evening of telling stories with friends old and new. Admission is free.  We are collecting voluntary donations of new or gently used books to give as Christmas gifts to the children at the Huntsville Learning Center, an after-school program for impoverished and underserved children.  Classics like Narnia, A Wrinkle in Time, the Roald Dahl books, etc—books to keep and read again and again.  November 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Just Love Coffee Cafe at 2317 Memorial Parkway.  Doors open at 6:30. Half an hour to order coffee, tea, snacks, dessert, etc.  Storytelling starts at 7pm.
