The day will be headlined by the acclaimed Webb-Tigert Ukulele Duo, Nashville-based musical pros known for their innovative and engaging performances. With decades of professional experience in Americana, country, rock and roll, R&B, jazz, and blues, Lisa Webb and Bob Tigert bring a fresh twist to ukulele music. Their performances are celebrated for their originality, energy, and emotional depth, earning them rave reviews as “awesome,” “compelling,” and “a force to be reckoned with.”
Their unique approach to ukulele music has seen them headline festivals worldwide, including the Vienna Ukulele Nights in Austria, and release several successful albums. Their most recent album, “Love Ya Love Ya Love Ya,” combines original songs with classics by Elvis Presley and Little Feat, blending groove-based, polished, and funky arrangements that captivate audiences everywhere.
In addition to the Webb-Tigert duo, Kirk Jones and Diego Cotabato will be performing. Jones is a semi-professional “FUNsician” who teaches beginner to intermediate ukulele lessons and performs in and around the Huntsville, Alabama area as well as around the United States. Cotabato began his ukulele journey at age 9. After a brief 35-year hiatus, he has reunited with the uke, and now entertains audiences playing classic rock, pop, yacht rock and other musical genres not often associated with the little 4 string instrument. Originally from the New York city area, he now calls the Nashville area home.
Join us for workshops, performances, and the chance to strum along with a vibrant community of music lovers—all while supporting The Princess Theatre. Whether you’re picking up a ukulele for the first time or enjoying the pros at their best, this is a day you won’t want to miss.
