Hey Huntsville, are you ready for the weekend? Well, if you aren’t it’s coming anyway, so you might as well find some fun and exciting stuff to do right?
The next few days are packed full of fun weekend events in and around Huntsville. Check these out:
Live Music
Live music is one of the main highlights of the weekend events in Huntsville, with some great shows lined up over the next few days. Here are a few cool gigs you may want to check out:
- Donna the Buffalo: March 31, Mars Music Hall, 7PM. Don’t miss one of the best live shows around, as music veterans Donna the Buffalo gets you moving and grooving!
- Velcro Pygmies: March 31, Furniture Factory, 8PM. These guys have been rocking Alabama for decades now, and it’s a live show you just don’t want to miss!
- The Mountain Goats: April 1, Mars Music Hall, 7PM. Catch the Mountain Goats with special guest Adeem the Artist.
- Sam Gyllenhaal Duo: April 1, Stovehouse, 7PM. Enjoy the harmonies and cool tunes of singer/songwriter San Gyllenhaal at this free live performance at the Stovehouse.
- Morgan Laubach: April 1, Green Bus Brewing, 7PM. If you have never seen or heard local musician Morgan Laubach, you’re missing out. Catch her awesome show at Green Bus this weekend!
Sports + Fitness
You are definitely going to want to get out and participate in some of these sports and fitness events happening in and around Huntsville this weekend. Take a look:
- Huntsville Havoc Hockey: March 31-April 1, Propst Arena, 7PM. The Havoc have two games this weekend against Pensacola. Come out and cheer on the Havoc!
- Alabama A&M Baseball: March 31-April 2, Bulldog Field, 2PM. Cheer on the Bulldogs as they take the diamond against rival Alabama State.
- Zoom Cycle Fitness Class: April 1, Orion Amphitheater, 10:30AM. Zoom Indoor Cycling and The Orion Amphitheater are partnering together to create a one-of-a-kind fitness experience!
- Bridge Street Town Centre Half Marathon: April 2, Bridge Street, 7AM. Get the running shoes on and hit the pavement for this half marathon through Bridge Street and the surrounding area.
- Huntsville Diabetes Walk: April 2, U.S. Space & Rocket Center, 2PM. This event benefits Camp Seale Harris, and the includes not only the walk, but also a fun family outing with games, activities and more.
Shows, Festivals, More Weekend Events
From fashion shows to a stand-up comedy, there are plenty of cool weekend events in Huntsville you can check out. You just have to know where to find them:
- On Your Feet: March 31-April 2, Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, Fri. 8PM. Sat. 2PM & 8PM, Sun. 1PM & 6:30PM. This musical stage show tells the story of Gloria and Emelio Estefan.
- Basement Warehouse Sale: April 1, Harrison Bros. Hardware, 10AM. Come shop Historic Huntsville Foundation’s stash of salvaged vintage materials, from mantles and fixtures to tile and furniture
- Pinocchio + Swan Lake: March 31-April 2, VBC Playhouse, 7PM. The Alabama Youth Ballet presents these two classic balllet performances all weekend!
- Jess Hilarious: April 1, Stand Up Live, 6:30PM. Catch one of the freshest and most highly sought after faces in comedy right here in Huntsville!
- Huntsville Ballet Guild’s Spring Fashion Show: April 2, The Royal at Stovehouse, 3PM. This fundraiser includes exclusive runway looks and pop-up boutiques from local favorites!
