For many folks, there’s a 3-day weekend ahead, with Independence Day falling on Friday this year. Not only do we have several 4th of July events to tell you about, but some other cool stuff is happening around town as well.

Fireworks + 4th of July parties

1. Independence Day Celebration @ MidCity
- What: Experience a whole weekend of celebration in Huntsville’s MidCity District. Festivities include food trucks, live music, face painting, the famous watermelon carving contest and a Friday fireworks show.
- When: Fireworks are Friday, July 4 starting at 9PM

2. Trash Pandas 4th of July Festival @ Toyota Field
- What: Join the Trash Pandas for a festival on Independence Day, culminating with a July 4th fireworks display. There will be games for the kids, food, face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, live music and the Trash Pandas game at Knoxville playing on the video board.

3. 4th of July Celebration @ Village of Providence
- What: Meet at the green space in the Village of Providence with music food, games and a fireworks show.

4. Spirit of America Festival @ Point Mallard
- What: Head to Point Mallard in Decatur and enjoy live music, more than 100 arts and craft vendors, dozens of food trucks, a corn hole tournament, hot dog eating contest and a fireworks show to close out the night.
- When: Festival starts at 1:30PM, fireworks at 9PM

5. Red, White & BOOM! @ Athens Sports Complex
- What: Have a “Blast” in Athens with live music (Battle of the Bands), food trucks, local vendors and a fabulous fireworks show to end the night.
