How about one of the coolest community festivals in Alabama, a Japanese festival in Decatur, where everything is free—only 1.5 hours from Birmingham?

You read it correctly: At the annual Daikin Festival, admission, food, drinks and parking are all free to guests, compliments of Daikin America, Inc., which has operated a plant in the River City since 1994.
