Ghost tours in Huntsville — where to take a unique spooky tour this fall

Huntsville Ghost Walk is back again to celebrate the spooky history of the Rocket City every weekend until Halloween. Each night, three separate groups travel down three separate routes: Old Town Historic District, Twickenham Historic District and Haunted Downtown. Each tour starts at Harrison Brothers Hardware.

Old Town Historic District

Follow your experienced tour guide through the Old Town Ghost Tour, where you’ll learn about (and possibly encounter):

  • The haunting in the courthouse
  • The ghosts of a WWI soldier and a Union soldier

Twickenham Historic District

Explore some of the oldest streets in Huntsville, walk by fascinating homes and mansions that have been around since the early 1800s and witness:

  • Helion Masonic Lodge
  • The LeRoy Pope mansion + Governor Bibb’s mansion
  • The birthplace of “The Thunderbolt of the Confederacy,” General John Hunt Morgan

Haunted Downtown

Walk the streets of Downtown Huntsville in this exciting ghost tour, where you’ll learn all about:

  • Another Union soldier ghost
  • The ghost of a bellhop at the Russel Erskine Apartments
  • A prominent shop owner who murdered two innocent people

Your tour guide will bring the history — you simply have to bring your ticket and some comfortable walking shoes. Tickets are $13/adult and $8/child 12 and under, and each walk begins at 6PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Spots are selling fast, so book your tour while you can!
