Bobbleheads, camo cap giveaways highlight upcoming Trash Pandas homestand

The Rocket City Trash Pandas have spent he last two weeks on a road trip, but will return to Toyota Field next week for a six-game series against the Tennessee Smokies, and fans will be treated to an array of gveaways and promotions on top of some quality baseball.

This homestand will be the first to feature new gate opening times, with gates opening 30 minutes earlier than in previous homestands. Check out what the Trash Pandas have in store for fans next week.

Beginning Tuesday, May 24, the Trash Pandas have designated the following games for promotions:

  • Izzy Wilson Bobblehead Giveaway on May 24
  • Armed Forces Night with a Jersey Auction on May 26
  • A pair of fireworks shows on May 27 and 28
  • Memorial Day celebration and Camo Cap Giveaway on May 29

As well, a new Grab & Go food and beverage stand will be added behind home plate with a variety of snacks and beverages while Pub Madison will be expanded with additional registers. Before all games, there will be a pregame Happy Hour at The Bullpen Bar in left field, with wine, well drinks, drafts, and whiskey lemonade all available for $5 each. The Bullpen Bar will also feature Smoked Turkey Legs each day, while supplies last.

The Trash Pandas have started the 2022 season with tremendous success. The team has posted a 20-16 record which is good enough to put the team in second place in the Southern League North Division.

However, the latest road trip has not been kind to Rocket City, with the Trash Pandas dropping six straight games to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos before rebounding and taking two out of three games at Birmingham. The team finishes out its road trip against the Barons over the next three days.

Trash Pandas first baseman Trey Cabbage has been the brightest spot on the roster offensively, as he has posted a .327 batting average and leads the Southern League in OPS and is second in the league in home runs with 10.
