This weekend is the last weekend before Thanksgiving — and therefore the last weekend before Christmas shopping around town becomes INSANE!

So, if you want to get out and about this weekend, we have several weekend events we want you to know about. Check these out:

1. Bulldog Bash

The Alabama A&M University Event Center will host an awesome hoops tournament featuring Coastal Carolina, IU-Indianapolis, South Carolina State and of course, your AAMU Bulldogs!

2. Venardos Circus

Venardos Circus wraps world-class, animal-free circus acts into a Broadway Musical-style format dubbed “The American Circus with the heart of a Broadway Show.”

4. Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

Don’t miss Theatre Huntsville’s production of “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley,” a delightful sequel to “Pride and Prejudice” that will warm your heart and lift your spirits.

5. Lights Up at Bridge Street

Lights Up will feature live performances from Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre and local choir groups, giveaways, holiday characters, Sprocket from the Trash Pandas and more

6. Athens Christmas Open House

Experience the season’s magic Nov. 22-24 in Athens with the Merchants Alley Tree Lighting, Ice Skating on The Square, photos with Santa and the festive Merry Market on Marion.

Friday night is “Grateful Dead Night” at the Huntsville Havoc game. All of you Deadheads come out and watch a Dead tribute band before cheering on your Havoc as they take on Roanoke.

8. Helping Hands Vendor + Craft Fair

You can expect approximately 70+ Craft Market and Vendor booths, each selling their own unique goods.

9. Open Studio Night at Lowe Mill

Take a stroll through Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, taking a look at all of the studios inside this incredible facility. Every gallery rotation features Open Studio Night, a chance for you to meet the artists and see their work in the galleries.

10. Drive-By Truckers

Welcome these rockers back to the Rocket City, as the Drive-By Truckers play the Orion to close out the fall concert series.

11. Tina: The Tina Turner Musical

12. Waco Kids

Join The Waco Kids for a night of Gus Hergert original music and hand picked covers at St. Stephens Music Hall.

13. Jessie Murph

14. Grinch Cookie Decorating Class

In this class, you’ll learn so much about icing, decorating and the techniques to be able to decorate your very own cookies at home.

15. Craft Cinema

Bring something to craft while watching movies and hanging out! Feel free to bring snacks to share, or DVDs to pick from. Don’t have a craft to do? Help out a friend or grab one of our collection of coloring books. Kids are welcome, but movies may or may not be kid oriented.
