In case you’ve missed it, Huntsville has been extremely hot recently, with “feels like” temperatures exceeding 100 degrees on a regular basis.

Summer is great, and our city offers plenty to do outside—but those temperatures aren’t for everyone.

Earlyworks Children’s Museum is a great way to enjoy Huntsville indoors! It is a unique blend of education + fun that the whole family can enjoy. They have some great exhibits currently, including The Keelboat, Creative Corner + The M.O.S.H Pit.

Test your grip strength at High Point Climbing & Fitness

High Point is a great blend between family fun and family competition! They have tons of different climbing walls that vary in difficulty and offer parties, classes—and even yoga!

Blast off at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

Perhaps nothing embodies Huntsville more than the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. This place is great for all ages and it feels like you always walk away learning something new. Make sure you check out their new INTUITIVE Planetarium!

Kids + adults can play at Bee’s Knees Play Cafe

The Bee’s Knees Play Cafe is a great spot to let your young ones let their energy out! It features a giant indoor playground, a mini-city + a cafe for the adults to enjoy while the little ones play.

Cathedral Caverns isn’t technically indoors, but it sure feels like it! This dazzling cave system remains a cool 60 degrees year round, making it a great way to enjoy nature during the hottest months of the year.
