We’ve compiled for you a list of stores that will be open on January 1, and some that are closed.

What’s closed

As per usual, government and city offices will be closed, as well as a few well-known businesses:
- Huntsville City Hall
- Madison City Hall
- Madison County Courthouse
- Trash pickup delayed one day in Huntsville
- USPS
- Sam’s Club
- Costco
- ALDI
- Trader Joe’s
- Banks + other financial institutions
What’s open

Many chain stores (as well as restaurants) will operate normal hours, but here’s a quick list of what you can rest assured is open:
- BJ’s Wholesale Club: 9AM-7PM
- Publix: 7AM-7PM
- Food City: 7AM-11PM
- Kroger: 7AM-10PM
- Target: 8AM-10PM
- Walmart: 6AM-11PM
- CVS: 8AM-9PM
- Chick-fil-A: 6:30AM-9PM
- TJ Maxx: 9:30AM-6PM
- Home Depot: 9AM-8PM
- Lowe’s: 9AM-6PM
