Happy New Year, Huntsville!

We’ve compiled for you a list of stores that will be open on January 1, and some that are closed.

Keep reading to learn where you can patronize for those last-minute New Year goodies.

What’s closed

As per usual, government and city offices will be closed, as well as a few well-known businesses:

  • Huntsville City Hall
  • Madison City Hall
  • Madison County Courthouse
  • Trash pickup delayed one day in Huntsville
  • USPS
  • Sam’s Club
  • Costco
  • ALDI
  • Trader Joe’s
  • Banks + other financial institutions

What’s open

Many chain stores (as well as restaurants) will operate normal hours, but here’s a quick list of what you can rest assured is open:

  • BJ’s Wholesale Club: 9AM-7PM
  • Publix: 7AM-7PM
  • Food City: 7AM-11PM
  • Kroger: 7AM-10PM
  • Target: 8AM-10PM
  • Walmart: 6AM-11PM
  • CVS: 8AM-9PM
  • Chick-fil-A: 6:30AM-9PM
  • TJ Maxx: 9:30AM-6PM
  • Home Depot: 9AM-8PM
  • Lowe’s: 9AM-6PM
