Whether you love it or hate it, it’s the end of summer. School starts back up next month, and there’s no reason to be bored. Here’s your guide on how to celebrate the closing of summer the Huntsville way.

Huntsville has no shortage of upcoming events, and if you are disappointed that you’ve had a boring summer, never fear. The end is just as exciting as the beginning.
Concert in the park
Summers are for Big Spring Park’s Concerts in the park series, a free outdoor concert where pets are welcome and food trucks are everywhere.

Trivia at Stovehouse
Every Tuesday during the summer, Stovehouse hosts trivia by Trivia Masters on various different topics, with rewards for the top three winners. Think you got what it takes?

Hiking at Land Trust
Blevin’s Gap land trust has arguably the prettiest scenery in Huntsville and the perfect place to take pictures during golden hour. Trek to the top of the mountain if you’re in the mood to hike.

Epic Comedy Hour weekend
Epic Comedy Hour is celebrating their 13th anniversary at the end of July with four different shows. End summer with various comedy acts before the Monday blues hit.

Artist Market at Lowe Mill
Another event at Lowe Mill, the Artist Market has dozens of tents set up with talented artists and creators selling their wares. Luckily, the outdoor markets don’t stop at the end of summer. They go on till October.
Pro tip: get a head start on Christmas shopping. It’s the perfect place for gifts of all kinds for all ages.
