Are you ready for the weekend? Well, I hope so because there are plenty of events, shows and other fun stuff happening in and around Huntsville all weekend!

Here’s a look at what’s on the schedule in the Huntsville area this weekend:

The next few days are chock full of live music events in and around Huntsville. Regardless of your musical tastes, this weekend likely provides something you’re not going to want to miss:

  • Steven Brooks Band: Oct. 21, BeeZr, 7:30PM. Come on out the BeeZr and enjoy what is sure to be a fantastic show and a great venue downtown!
  • World’s Weirdest Rock & Roll Show: Oct. 21, Copper Top, 8:30PM. Howl this October at the World’s Weirdest Rock N Roll Show with the Go-Go Killers, the return of Gasoline Tank, special guests the Casket Kids.
  • Peck Hollow Bluegrass Music Jam: Oct. 22, Gurley’s Soggy Bottom Music Barn, 5PM-9PM. Bring your instruments, your family, and/or a comfy lawn chair and join this monthly bluegrass jam.
  • Jeremy Noble: Oct. 22, Stovehouse, 7PM. Enjoy the southern tunes of Jeremy Noble this weekend at Stovehouse!
  • Sister Hazel: Oct. 22, Mars Music Hall, 7PM. Catch one of the most popular bands of the 90s at Mars Music Hall Saturday night. Get tickets now because this show may sell out.

From ballet to Halloween parties to farmers markets, there’s plenty to do this weekend in the Huntsville area. Check out these cool events coming up this weekend:

  • Huntsville Ballet presents Tumbleweed Suite: Oct. 21-23, The Dream Theater, Friday 7PM, Sat. 2PM & 7PM, Sun. 3PM. The Huntsville Ballet kicks off its 2022-2023 season with HBC Unplugged, featuring “Tumbleweed Suite,” inspired by George Balanchine and choreographed by Artistic Director Phillip Otto. Additional works will include the world-renowned pas de deux from Paquita, as well as Le Corps, an original work performed by Huntsville Ballet’s junior company.
  • Huntsville Police Halloween Party: Oct. 22, Orion Amphitheater, 2PM-9PM. This free community event is for children of all ages, and costumes are welcome. The haunted house opens at 5 p.m., and there will be plenty of other spooky activities as well as candy, live music and police demonstrations. Food trucks and vendors will also have items for purchase.
  • River Clay Fine Arts Festival: Oct. 22-23, Alabama Center for the Arts – Decatur, 10AM. River Clay Fine Arts Festival brings together people from across the region to celebrate the visual arts in all their forms. The juried fine arts festival includes an artist market, artist demonstrations, children’s hands-on art activities, student art exhibits, musical performances, and more.
  • Halloween Monster Bash 2022: Oct. 22, Rocket Republic Brewing, 7PM. Get dressed up in your 80s costume and bring the whole family for some Halloween fun featuring music by Wild Life & the Working Class.
  • Madison Witches Ride, Roll & Stroll: Oct. 23, Palmer Park, 2PM. will feature festive local witches of all sorts riding their brooms (bikes), parading their pets, and strolling through Palmer Park and spreading Halloween cheer by throwing candy to hundreds of onlooking children along the route.

Whether you are looking for sporting events as a spectator or as a participant, you can find some activities in and around Huntsville this weekend. Check these out:

  • Volley-BOO Beach Tournament: Oct. 22, John Hunt Park, 12PM.  Enjoy some fantastic beach volleyball action. Dress up and play ball. Best costume wins a prize!
  • Tiny Toes 5K: Oct. 22, Intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Meridian Street, 9AM. Get out your running/walking shoes for a 5K/1 Mile Fun Run in support of the Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center.
  • X-Cup National Tournament Series: Oct. 23, X-Golf Huntsville, 12PM. Compete in this virtual golf tournament to win an all-expenses paid trip to Cabo!
  • Rocket City Cross: Oct. 23, John Hunt Park, 10AM. Get on your bikes and get in on this ride presented by The Orthopedic Center of Huntsville.
  • Wade Mountain Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K: Wade Mountain Nature Preserve, 1PM. his event has become a fall classic at the beautiful Wade Mountain Nature Preserve.
